Bill,

Actually, I agree with you to a certain extent. Only the most credible Y2K consulting firms will survive after 2000-2003. 2000 will not see the end of the necessity for computer services related to Y2K. We all know that anything attempted from this time forward will strictly be "triage" of critical systems which will likely need further work in a post-2000 IT world.

KEA, CHRZ, TPRO and so many others will see Y2K be their foot in the door to long-term business relationships with their clients. Y2K is the most massive project that any IT department has faced. Those with experience in remediating these systems are also those who will most fully understand them and know where improvements need to be made.

The jury is still out on whether DDIM will be one of them.

I think the problem is that long-term for me is basically 12-18 months out. After that, I'll likely be completely out of the market, holding precious metals, and living in Bum F*ck Egypt with 30 cord of chopped firewood, a Blaze King stove, windmill for power and solar cells hooked up to a hydrolosis machine producing Hydrogen for my alternate fuel vehicle.... <wink>

Regards,

Ron

So why not be long during the Y2k frenzy period (2 years) and then be
short when the lawsuits start...ALL of the Y2K companies will be targets..
