In the proposed spending, $7.8 billion would go to the Department of Energy Office of Science for artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum information science (QIS) computing insights of climate change.
This is too funny.

AI isn't going to do jack for climate change models.

QIS is completely theoretical. They will be useful once quantum computing starts gaining momentum, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

None of this is going to give America any competitive tech advantage. Yay, so we're the leader in climate change prediction models? PooTin and Omicron Jinping must be shaking in their boots ...
