Sonny, American usually implies diversity. Ooooh am I right yet??? Must be those Nebraskans in the western part of the state who sound funny. My mom always pronounced Hawaii as 'Huh why ya' instead of 'Huh why E' . I think its a matter of Tomato - 'Ta may toe', 'Ta Ma Toe' , both are accepted as correct unless you have a crabby english teacher. :-) Sorry Dennis I don't remember what you teach, but I doubt your crabby. IRAQ - don't quite know what to think about that one. It's nice were trying to get rid of his weapons but come on either put up or shut up.
