RE:I needed a thrill.

I hear there are some nice areas to hang-glide in Hawaii. <G>

Canon says it's still number 2.

Looking ahead, Canon foresees a rising proportion of
DUV stepper sales to offset uncertainties in the Asian market. In 1998,
Canon will release several new step-and-repeat and step-and-scan
lithography tools with optical and platform features to benefit customers
who are ready to make a strategic entry into 300-mm wafer
manufacturing and design features smaller than 0.25 micron.

The really good thing about shorting AMAT this afternoon is you won't have to wait long to know if you made a good call or bad. The way I see it: Very Good Call....or very Bad Call No middle of the road on this big boy.

Market seems to have faith in Amat. HHmmm? Closing at 36

I'm sure you'll get a thrill shorting Applied Materials.

Just reported 10 cents a share ahead of estimates, but it includes a one time gain. As expected, forward book to bill has declined below one.

I have no idea what this will mean for you tomorrow. I'm sure you'll know quickly, though.
