Amat's 45% .25mu equip. in 1998 vs. 19% in 1997 is a 137% increase in CYMI equipment orders versus last year. I'll say it's good. It sounds great. Future earnings for CYMI will continue to soar without question.

Incidently when anyone looks at volume on NASDAQ, market maker and brokerage-house daytrader volume *is* counted. Fully half of all volume in a stock is this type of activity and most of it is buying and selling the exact same stock in the same day. So, not only should you divide daily volume by 2 to adjust for both the buy and sell reported but also divide by another 2 to take out wash sales by brokerage house day traders and MMs (total divide by 4).

A stock like CYMI should normally trade about 200 thou shares a day. Because there is such a huge short position in the stock there is a lot of shenanigan (ie not real) volume in it lately. Since the short interst is 4 million that would take a very unnormal 20 straight days of nothing but buying to cover this huge risky short bet.

Good Luck To Each And All
