ATNA RESOURCES LTD. - LOVELAND PROPERTY DRILLING COMPLETE, DRILLING TO COMMENCE ON ATNA / FALCONBRIDGE TEMAGAMI PROJECT VANCOUVER, B.C.-- Four drill holes have been completed on the Loveland volcanogenic massive sulphide property ( VMS ) located near Timmins, Ontario. All holes intersected felsic volcanic rocks, with minor mineralization reported in some holes. Core samples have been submitted for geochemical sampling to determine the alteration / mineralization signatures along a favorable horizon. Further interest in the property will depend on results from these studies. A five hole drill program has commenced on the Atna / Falconbridge Temagami (VMS) joint venture project near North Bay, Ontario. Recent exploration on the Chambers Grid indicated polymetallic mineralization with coincident geochemical and geophysical anomolies in areas of highly altered and mineralized rhyolitic rocks. Drilling is focused on testing several attractive targets on the Chambers Grid. Incentive stock options have been granted to employees of the company to purchase up to 60,000 common shares, subject to acceptance by the applicable securities regulatory authorities. The options will be granted for a period of ten (10) years, commencing on March 4, 1998, at $ 1.37 per share. Atna Resources is a well financed Canadian mineral exploration company with expertise in the recognition of under-explored geological terrains with high potential for containing polymetallic base and precious metal deposits.
