I haven't given up, but I've never been in favor of decommissioning energy sources before replacing the energy they produce. Demand collapsed when covid hit, so there were steep cuts in production. We're still not back to where we were B4 covid, and we didn't add enuf renewables during the pandemic to make much of a difference. Of the 303 kb/d increase, the biggest increase came from Canada 225 kb/d. Offsetting the increase were decreases from Brazil 116 kb/d and China 92 kb/d.
