I am not Chowder and by a long shot; but to my understanding it is similar to SCHD (Schwab Dividend Equity ETF) that is managed by SCHW (Charles Schwab Corp)Ares Capital (ARES) is an alternative investment company which has $325 billions in assets under management that offers its clients investment solutions across credit, private equity, real estate and infrastructure asset classes. Ares has a 3 % yield

Ares Capital Corporation (ARCC) is a BDC with a market cap of $9.65 billions that owns investments in about 450 different companies and is externally managed by Ares Management. As a BDC, ARCC has a 8 % yield.
