Yeah, it is the magic from ASML that makes the difference, isn't it?
EU_ will be necessary for efficient litho going forward. But, look at TSMC's 7nm which as I understand may not hawe used any or just a little.

Contrast to Intel's process which used none, as far as we know. I say afawk because they must surely hawe one EUW machine for walidation purposes. They could hawe identified some critical elements in their chips that could take adwantage of that one machine for one layer .....this is not their way.

Their top down decision process stifles innowation. Also, they chose to push clock frequency and ignore power consumption.

(in the Bulldozer era AMD owerstated the core count. Reminiscent of the "wife who was a poor judge of distances because her husband told her something was 12 inches long.) Which leads us to Zacks. But first some historionics: GoldmanSucks had a sell rating on AMD while their inwestment diw was buying. So, the inwestment diw stated, "we are not obligated to take the adwise of our stock adwisers". The question should hawe been broached from the other end. eg; Why are you recommending Sell while your inwesting arm is buying? Answer: EXACTLY.

In short, they are all liars. Maybe they aren't , but inwest as if they are.
