Hi Bruwin,

My wife is 100% Italian.

I consider myself lucky to have married into their very close family.

I love their traditions and food.

We've traveled in Italy and it is a great vacation country.

The friendliness of the people is one of their endearing features imo.

Italians love life and may be too nice for their own good.

That being said their political leaders have been horrible. They give and give and it compounds. Then the conservative subsection of the population gets control and that never lasts very long.

Sadly I think you could substitute US political leaders with Italian political leaders into the above.

This winter will be harsh on Euroland and drag all others into the Russian strong arm tactics of energy interruptions.

Energy as it emerges from all of the "Green New Deal" hype, and their overpromised falsehoods of low expense and high reliability. will cost us all in the short term future. When renewables get their proper place as a supplement to reliable always there energy, we'll be on our way to inexpensive energy as once enjoyed by that which fossil fuels gave and gives us.

The French have been the smartest by retaining their nuclear base.

The Germans bought into the green scam, as Angela Merkel lead them into Russian dependence for energy. Showing her leniency to the Russian ways, complete with sinister strong arm tactics when it benefits themselves.

I've never been a big fan of the always talk, never do much Euroland concept. The idea that the Euro would replace the Do llar as the World Currency was always a pipedream IMO.

Italy needs to get the Covid travel restrictions behind them. They are lucky to have the beauty and weather of Italy and the friendliness of their people that screams tourism.

Hoping you and family are doing well. Your conservative views are appreciated by me here.

Thanks for all you do!

Bob
