I am holding out for the Omicron-variant booster in September since it's on the way. So far, I am in the unicorn population of not getting Covid unless it happened with zero symptoms when I wasn't testing.

They should have allowed everyone to get both boosters. What was that about?

Shortage of vaccine? It seemed here there was plenty?

Over a year ago I was playing poker with a fellow who commented on my mask and asked why I was wearing it and I said because he wasn't.

Then he went missing for several months and had been playing most days. When he returned he had lost his leg from the knee down from covid.

When he walked in there are always a few of us who start the games early getting our chips.

The first thing he said to everyone:' you have no idea how many times I think about I should have listened to Chuck.

I texted the club and told them I had it, so they could inform everyone. The irony is that I was just about the only one who wore my mask every day.

I'll bet half the club caught it from me or whomever I got it from. I am sure it was there because the only other place i go is so swim or the store.

And playing poker we are in a circle breathing on each other.

Yes, as I understand it people over 50 qualify for the second booster, and people under 50 if they are immune compromised.
At least the death rate has not gone up, even though hospitalizations are up.
Hope you feel better soon. Sure seems like it will become a seasonal illness much like the flu.
A 65 year old friend was very ill with it for two weeks. He had not gotten the boosters. He says he
still has 'brain-fog' some days.
