Richard, I do agree that QCOM has been better about giving guidance to investors post-fall. That may well be what saves them. We'll get a very good indication by observing whether we get more downgrades or not.

My original comparison was to a company who really incorrectly guided analysts, whether they meant to or not, and thus will pay for it. I think your 40 target is very reasonable. In a strong market, it could base at 40; in a weak market it might slide to 30. Whichever, both are lower than 47 of today, so you might as well ride it on the way down by either selling calls or buying puts or waiting on the sidelines. I'm not giving personal advice to you specifically, Richard, but I just was trying to share the experience I had with the others. There's no honor in riding a stock up and down for no gain.
