No one here says Biden is the best and brightest

Who would even try to argue such a point???

We are working with what we have, and it sure could be worse if Biden had lost to Trump

Who else would have beat Trump in 2020????

It doesn't make any sense your bashing on Biden when he will be potus until at least 2024, barring some unexpected outcome

How about we work with what we have... I don't get your whining about Biden, as if you are going to change who the Potus is until more than 2 years from now

I don't find him an eloquent speaker, but maybe more counts than pontificating

How about being a team player?... the Rs sure know how to do that

The Democratic party is adept at choosing candidates by ensuring there is no feasible alternative.

You would not guess that there must be a million intelligent, functional people who could actually do a good job running the nation.

"You think Biden is the best and brightest the Dems have to offer?"

He wasn't my first choice, but I think he was the best candidate we had to offer in '20, and I don't see anybody better today. There are lots of bigger mouths, but they wouldn't have/won't be able to get anything accomplished, which is really what it's all about. Many of them, like my governor, won't even be able to get elected; too progressive for the purple states.

"you don't particularly like progressive programs."
Biden's covid bills, the infrastructure bill, and the gun control bill are all pretty progressive, as is the climate bill. What I don't like is trying to build a socialist worker's paradise in a 2 year time frame. Replacing all the organs in one operation is a good way to kill the body politic.
