Why does someone like Jon Stewart not step up? I think he saw what happened to Al Franken . The Democratic party is more about the stability of the leadership than issues. Issues are picked based on the size of the voting block in key states. I would have said the same about the Republicans. That's why I think parties themselves are the problem. The Republicans however are in such a state of flux and disarray that I don't know what they are doing.
