If the datacenter gains are as significant as we expect them to be, I think it will definitely get noticed in the press, that in the most strategic segment, AMD is gaining, and Intel is (indisputably) losing. It will crystalize that bad Intel results are not because of bad datacenter business, but Intel specific (my speculation).

And things are going from bad to worse for Intel in datacenter. Capacity constraints on AMD Milan are being lifted, Genoa is going to launch before SPR, Genoa capacity is going to come from a separate bucket, not take anything away from Milan capacity.

Ther may be some super loyal Intel datacenter customers who may be throwing in the towel and calling AMD...
