I agree. If no one rocks the boat, the situation between China and Taiwan would be stable, maintaining Status Quo. But the Chinese view Pelosi visit as a major provocation. In the call between Xi and Biden, Xi used the harshest language, has given the strongest warnings (according to people who follow the readouts of the calls). So, let's just keep the fingers crossed. The current direction is roughly towards Guam, well south of Taiwan.
