Congratulations to Gvatty for a level-headed entry very close to the actual EPS reported — just 2 cents off! I came in second with my entry on the high end of Zacks estimates, with Neolib taking the third position a little further behind. The rest of you were unfortunately too optimistic to get a medal, but the consolation prize goes to Joe for the closest outlook. Sadly, though, we all were beat by Zacks this quarter.

On the leaderboard for the year, where all categories have equal weight, Gvatty now takes the pole position, and is the only one of us still ahead of Zacks. Joe takes the second spot, with me in third position.

Scoreboards

Note that, unlike the main EPS Contest, which is primarily ranked by EPS, these boards are ranked by overall score, which is an equally weighted average of subscores. Scores are calculated as (1+error)^-2 per quarter and normalized for the year by sum(scores)/4. The squaring of the denominator in the score calculation is just done to spread out the scores a little. There is no explicit relative weighting of EPS and revenue error, i.e. a 1 cent error in EPS equals a $10M error in revenue.
