3DLabs Inc. said it has sued Texas Instruments Inc. in a Calf. court, alleging the chip maker took its trade secrets. Claims that, in breach of written license agreements between the companies, & in violation of the Calf. civil code, TXN distributed on the WWW & printed materials certain confidential & proprietary info. belonging to 3dLabs.
Also alleges that TXN violated other provisions of the agreements between the companies & seeks declaratory relief with respect to certain contractual disagreements.
No response from TXN was immediately available.

Well MU made 142m $ in 2/27/97 but because they are great at making what everybody is making they did an excellent job of making $9.6m(1% net profit) last qtr while TI slipped to $219m or a last 3qtr low of 9% net profit----it would have been better if they could just manufacture chips.
