So, just to be clear, after Republicans endlessly claimed that they voted against the PACT Act because it had “gimmicks” and “slush funds,” the vast majority of them just changed course and voted for the exact same bill they voted against last week. Almost like they were lying.

It was a stupid waste of political capital for the Senate Republicans. A huge flexing of veteran organization muscle throughout the nation, right at the time the President got a huge win with Al-Zawahiri's death by US drones.

Ted Cruz wasn't a NO vote? Why do I think the Texas American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, etc... had been burning up the phone lines to Cruz' offices throughout the state.

I'm surprised Cornyn allowed himself to get sucked into it all with the petty no vote. That he'd pull a Ted Cruz is not unexpected, but that he would with the vets is totally out of line with him. He is and absolutely can be a fking lying backstabbing ass, but with the vets he's always been pretty much true enough. He fk'd up big time and I bet his phone was lit up like a burning christmas tree.
