Scan collectors-

This is the scan all of you are looking for-

allgroup
close(+1)>close(0)+3
open(+1)<=close(0)

seriously, I have made money with simple abnormal volume scans with a min price and volume, but nothing else, which usually bring me to some stocks I've never heard of. I do daytrading so I'm in and out quick, but when I get a hit or hits I check for news, secondaries, earnings or any other reason for increased volatility. I've found the best ones have no apparent reason. Generally wierd stocks, like late last year got TRN and LANC from this scan. I pick the charts with an upward bias, establish a target entry and trade if it runs there on decent volume. Doesn't find many opportunities, but the ones that work, work well for me. I am a beginning TA guy so if I just described the most elementary approach, save me the embarrassment and ignore it.
