limtex, QCOM may very well be 100 dollars in two years. They have a good technology, and I have myself traded QCOM from the long side......so don't get freaked out if you have some shares tucked away for the next 5 years or so...I am not attacking QCOM the company, rather I am pouncing on QCOM the stock for a short term move that could easily take the stock to the 30's.....believe me, if I don't like the company you will know it.....I hated Boston chicken and slaughtered it on these boards for nearly a year...that stock I sold around 40 and covered at 22...big mistake, its 6 now.....I don't believe that is the fate of QCOM.....I also don't believe that is the fate of CYMI either...thats why I drew a parallel between the two.....both market leaders, both high tech, and both with VERY disappointing short term news.......I think QCOM could very well tank hard and fast....by the way I went long CYMI at 15 3/8 after the fall from 50....I may just as well go long QCOM if the price falls to a level below forty and some positive news develops....problem is I don't know of any positive developments coming.....actually I see more problems , as foreign exchange losses have not been recorded and more order pushouts or cancellations are likely.....IMHO it is too early to jump in and buy QCOM...be patient and you will buy alot more in 3 months for much less.....good luck to you.....this is just my opinion, and I am just a regular guy, not some 2.2 Billion dollar fund manager.........;^)
