Over the long term, the price of *every* commodity converges to its marginal cost of production. So there is no such thing as a long term investment in a commodity. You are only trying to exploit the temporary market imbalances.

Copper is actually showing some green shoots. I think this is temporary and that it will eventually hit 2.90 area and then possibly go down to the 2.60 area (if we get a recession). BUT before that happens, there may be a short squeeze in the works. If it goes that way, then copper may go as high as 4 before heading back down.
