My youngest sister in Hermosa Beach is always rescuing dogs.. she had a part Ridge Back also .. do not recall the other part.. but not big enough to be a Great Dane mix ...was a pretty dog... the Ridge Back feature was prominent

That sounds like an excellent mix. Ridgebacks have a reputation for having a lot of personality and being difficult, but being worth it. And great danes are just great. So if a dog inherits the best of both, they will just take a permanent place in your heart.
