Long ago in 1980 when on safari in Kenya watching the baboons how arbitrary they decide to declare a hill or bridge as their own I learned a lot about human society. We visited a small village along a lake they debated something about where the school will be I can tell you now that they where more civilized than parliamentarians today. They where sitting in a circle every one with a long stick, when some one wanted to speak he raised the stick straight up and waited until the other finished what he had to say - you could see on their faces the anger but the respect was given to the speaker! They lived in mud huts as in the stone age but were more civilized than today civilization. Much more stories about this trip and what I learned from the native population and the baboons who are more like us today and the natives more civilized. One of the jokes of the driver was that we white people think the man is the leader in the family of course every one agreed Then he said the wife is lower like the neck and the man like the head. All approved Then he said all true but where the neck moves the head there the head looks and if there is no strong neck the head falls down So the body goes where the neck is moving the head So the body goes only following the neck, and not the head as the neck controls the direction of the head
