Now Bonnie, me and Buffet are both out of the long term strips.

I am actually long for the moment in the Israeli telecommunications firm TTELF. Seems likely to recover with the asian countries, and anything that can provide telephones without wires looks good.

The US is too topheavy with debt and owes too much from bad trade balances to be comapred with Japan.

I don't know what it will take to sink the US stock market. If I put myself in the position (in my imagination) of Saddam Hussein, I would do anything I could to build a small uranium a-bomb and blow up a US aircraft carrier with it. I trust out military has considered this and is protecting against it. But an event such as that would sure change the climate of feeling.

Please understand that such a thought is pure uninformed speculation by someone who knows nothing about the real situation but who wishes our government well in its undertakings.

At present levels there is terrific instability built into the United State financial system.
