Addi: I'm muddled: the last line in the link was: Applied said that, excluding the one-time items, its ongoing net income for the first fiscal quarter of 1998 was a record $197.8 million, or $0.52 per diluted share, compared with $89.1 million, or $0.24 per diluted share, for the first fiscal quarter of 1997, and $187.3 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, for the fourth fiscal quarter of 1997. ---- Not sure what this would have to do at all with LSI or the other chip makers you noted? Am I missing something obvious! ---
