This news caught me by surprise! I'm not sure what to make of this development. Who is going to make the engines? Where did this idea come from, anyway?

Here I've been waiting to hear more about the rollout of the wheelchairs, and now BIKE's going into another new market! I guess we'll have to wait to see where this development takes the company.

At least the stock price has been on a noticeable uptrend (along with the rest of the market), with some nice volume days. I hope that the stock price really has bottomed out.

Very very disappointing news.

Cannondale will lose the support of many socially responsible investors including moi who were drawn to a progressive company promoting healthful, quiet, non-polluting bicycles and wheelchairs NOT off-road motorcycles for god's sake!!!

Cannondale was a big part of my own investments, and I also proudly made BIKE my personal pick for the GOOD index on my GOOD vs EVIL thread. (I track socially responsible versus sociopathic investment choices- in 6 months my GOOD index is up 22% compared to just 1.5% for my EVIL index.) Cannondale had been outperforming the GOOD average until they made this EVIL motorcycle announcement and now they've already fallen behind (BIKE's up 20.5% in 6 months). That's what they get for turning to the dark side and messing with karma!

Any suggestions for a new socially responsible investment to replace my BIKE?
