*AV* -- I enjoy the company, I enjoy the drive, I enjoy the scenery, and I enjoy the conversations, food, drinks, my son, and the tranquility. The mountains and lakes are pristine and beautiful. The quiet spots we fish are wonderful and relaxing. The casting and the relaxation of waiting for a bite is fun. More jokes and hilarious situations as we try to attract the fish. And most of all, the great exhiliration of snagging the hooks on the rocks near shore and getting them free without losing $3-$5 worth of accessories can't be beat.

I even am beginning to enjoy catching a fish and reeling it in, then seeing it free itself as I desperately try to lose it off my lines. The trouble comes when the brain dead fish doesn't free himself and I actually have one to bring on shore.

That's when the fun ends. My son then goes through his routine of taking it off the hook, stringing it through the gills and putting back into the water with the rest of the fish he catches on the line.

When we are ready to leave, the blood letting begins. This nice kid turns into a demon. He takes each fish off the line, slits it down the belly, does something with the mouth, then gets this great grin on his face as he eviscerates this fish in front of all the other condemned prisoners. Like a psycho surgeon, with his sharp scalpel-like knife, he systematically and with great precision disembowels this fish, cleans it and fillets it. One by one I watch this semi-annihilation of a species at the hands of this individual with a huge grin on face. He shows absolutely no remorse in the dirty deed he is performing and actually speaks about how these fish are going to be prepared and cooked for the evening meal.

How could a sweet kid like this turn into such a monster.<GGG>
