Donald Trump’s espionage is just the half of it
Bill Palmer | 9:09 am EDT August 13, 2022 Palmer Report

We learned on Thursday that when the DOJ sent the FBI into Donald Trump’s home with a search and seizure warrant, it was looking for – among other things – stolen classified documents relating to nuclear secrets. Then on Friday we learned that the DOJ obtained the warrant as part of an espionage investigation into Trump.

That’s right, the DOJ is criminally investigating Trump for violating the Espionage Act – but this is only the half of it. It’s important to keep in mind that what we’re seeing unfold right now is solely a result of the DOJ’s investigation into Trump’s classified documents scandal – a storyline that until a few days ago, we knew very little about.

Everything else that we’ve seen from the DOJ this summer – from Pat Cipollone and Marc Short testifying against Trump to a grand jury, to the search and seizure warrants carried out against Trump co-conspirators John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark – has been the work of an entirely different DOJ probe focused on Trump’s fake elector scheme.

In other words, Donald Trump is going down for espionage, and that’s still just the half of it. Even as most of the public focus these past few months has been on the DOJ’s probe into Trump’s fake elector plot, we’ve kept reminding everyone that the DOJ also had a separate probe going into Trump’s classified documents probe. Now that the latter has come to the forefront, it’s important to not forget that the former also exists. Trump could go down for espionage and>/i> seditious conspiracy – surely marking his place in history, just not in the way that he might have hoped.

Yes, there are 2 and possibly 3 ongoing DOJ investigations in to Trump and this investigation is by the FBI after the National Archives requested an investigation over classified documents.

There is also the state elector investigation and J6 capitol attack investigation that may be rolled in to one.

What is ironic is this Mar Largo documents investigation may turn out to be the easiest to prove with the most serious charges and prison time involved and Trump basically handed Garland that on a gold plated mar largo platter.
