Thean,

My call was not to UTI today. I called a local driller and their rates had dropped. Sorry about not making that clear. We don't have many locally owned drillers left, since KEG bought most of them. :o(

Do you use the IQchart's free site for bollinger bands or the pay site?... so I'll know which chart you are referencing. I had never tried to get the OSX on IQC before and was amazed at how accurate the bands were. The symbol is actually $OSX on IQC. I'll write IQC tomorrow and see if they will set up the OSX chart where it can be updated during the day, like stock charts can be updated. It sure is a big help.

Thean,

I suspect the GoM lease sales will serve more to bolster confidence than add much real business, since virtually every deep drilling rig is already committed. The psychological boost could be enormous though. And it never hurts to have a stronger backlog of pending business to keep rates high.
