Anyone,

One thing I cannot understand about Apple:

Since they already have the design of older somewhat outdated computers, why do they stop building them?

For example, why not keep building and selling 7200s? It seems to me that they should be able to make a profit on these as the cost of the chip is less, no design overhead (its been paid for), cheaper ram prices.

It seems to me that if they kept the profits same as the new G3s they would sell to the $1000 and under market, and I think that anyone who really needed power would still spend the extra $600 for a G3s. Anyone know?

The consensus estimate on Apple's current quarterly earning (Q2) has
been moved from $0.11 to $0.14, and yearly earning has been shifted
from $0.45 to $0.78, based on Yahoo's Apple's research column. Who
have adjusted their estimates? I think as the Q2 reports get closer,
the numbers will be moved again.

Phil

Thank you Phillip, I was trying to respond with 3 obvious truths already in the pipe.

Looks like AAPL is holding steady on low volume today. Down a sixteenth to 19 3/8 as I write. Interest could pick up before close if there is little sell off.

Good hunting,
