60,000 is lots of miles.

i wonder how many miles farmers walked in days when they were walked to till and plant fields.
wouldn't be surprised if they walked 15-20 miles/day.

i've seen records that show children walked 10-20 miles/day when the family 'moved' into new u.s.
territories in the 1700s and 1800s. apparently, the human body functions 'normally' when walking
20 miles/day, once habituated.

'technology' tends to decrease human health and 'nature' tends to heal, it seems.
