Last two times I tried to bet market direction, it cost me money. I doubt the third time would be the charm.
I do much better with individual stocks. I had a little money, but after this morning I am out of cash. :)

September has historically been the worst performing month for the market and part of that is due to fund managers doing their tax loss selling in September which ends the fiscal year for many of the funds. I would expect to see some of that starting in the next week or two unless this year is different.

S&P bullish % reversal, first one we've had since early July or so.
-for what it's worth, at the minimum it's additional info if nothing else :)

Bear confirmed. After a brief pause the S&P bullish percent has now confirmed a bear market and continued its downward move. After raising my cash level on the initial bullish percent reversal a month ago (curently @ 21%) I'm finding myself fighting the urge to reinvest and lock in the added purchasing power at these lower levels.
Perhaps a sticky note on my monitor with the word patience written on it might be helpful (G).
