Shane:
To provide financing to the Korean semiconductor companies would take
more than guts. The latest numbers I have seen show Samsung with
$ 7.9 Billion dollars in debt. I believe the debt to equity ratio
for Samsung is 350%. If I am not mistaken ATML played the game
of providing financing to Asian customers. (I sure hope ATML recovers someday). With the CEO of MU yelling to Congress that
the IMF funds must not be used to save the Samsung's of this world while destroying the MU's of this world I think Korean semiconductor
companies may have difficulty obtaining financing for some time to come. AMAT should think long and hard before providing any financing
to Korean companies. Regards,
