That would require introspection and self-honesty. The Rabid R's don't like "woke" because they are still having their political wet-dream of White Christian Utopia. It is all very "Matrix"-y. The Wachowski siblings had their own deeply personal transformations - and express an anti-fascist sentiment in personal interviews, yet control and oppression are central themes in a number of their works.

They could have just as easily chosen green and red as those are opposites on the color wheel. For some reason they chose Red and Blue and the Blue Pill is the one that puts you back into a dream. IRL, the Red pill is the one causing the most denial. It feels like cheering the Washington Generals though as the Blue Party has a hard time actually winning a majority despite being closer to existing in the one true reality.
