I wouldn't rise to the bait too quickly. The first casualty of war is the truth, and all that.

I smell a rat.

There are no photos of Dugin together with Putin that I could find online.

Before he became "Putin's brain," Dugin and Putin were mentioned together once online in 2020 and 2017. If he were as influential as suggested, I would think there would be gobs and gobs of photos and videos of the two. But there aren't, not one I could find.

The Center for American Progress had a piece on Dugin, Putin, and Trump in which it essentially tagged all three as Russian stacking dolls, all living under each other's skirts.

What is the Center for American Progress: A Soros-affiliated advocacy think tank. Its head is a Soros toady.

Surprisingly, Foreign Affairs had a piece on Dugin/Putin calling Dugin P.'s brain in 2014.

One of the authors of the 2014 FA piece, Hannah Thoburn, was affiliated with the Foreign Policy Initiative, another 'think' tank, but which was actually a neocon front for Kristol and the Kagans, one of whom is married to Victoria "fuck the EU" Unland. Where is Thoburn now? Senior Staffer at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

In short, Dugin's connection to Putin seems a bit tenuous. But the Soros bunch and the neocons seem to have held him in enough contempt to publish articles about him - many years ago. After Trump's election, Trump also got thrown into the mix as a Russian toady.

What's the point in killing off some obscure pedant whose influence is tenuous at best? It would be equivalent to assassinating Alex Jones, and declaring Jones to be Trump's brain.

There is whole lot more to this story than meets the eye. Car bombings of private cars take skill to execute.

I think it is a message: We are fighting dirty now, be careful. We got a lowly peon this time, but we can get at many more of your true inner circle.

The only question is who executed the bombing.

I apologize for the disjointed nature of my writing, but my intuition tells me that there is whole lot more to the attack than a simple one-of attempt on a man who the media now has christened "Putin's brain."
