But why did the stock price begin to rise? People started to cover their short positions once the stock price started to jump? The news must have been well received to start this snowball effect. Its hard to understand this because the behavior of AOL cannot be compared to conventional stocks.

Help me out here. Why does the consolidated statement posted on Reuters state that all numbers going back 1.5 years are unaudited. Does unaudited mean something different than what I am interpreting. If not then how can a public company not have an audit within the last 1.5 years on their numbers. Please clue me in if I am missing something. The word "unaudited" always scares the daylights out of me. Nothing good ever came out of unaudited numbers for any extended period of time.
