AOL earns 0.18 a share and its at 110. CRUS earns the same and is at
10. Whats wrong with this picture ? I once used AOL's service and it
was so bad I dropped it.

I think the article writer is clueless and mixed up several
different news items/stories related to Cirrus. Cirrus just
announced an improved version of its handheld/settop
chip (has been shipping for a long time). Seperately,
Cirrus has recently (late 1997) announced its plans to
integrate graphics, audio and modem functionality
in a single chip for the PC market, and to bring it to
production in calendar 1998, so that it would be on course
to provide the bulk of Cirrus' PC Product revenues
in 1999 and 2000. This is a very different product.

Speaking of mergers, and presuming that CRUS will eventually have to partner to survive, I'd be interested in hearing potential target partners. None come to mind for me right now.
