not confusing. duckduckgo challenged google search when duckduckgo was established in 2008. google then bought duck.com in 2010 and, apparently, used duck.com to misdirect searches away from duckduckgo and to its vampire squidish cite, duck.com. then google claimed plausible deniability, 'golly how did that happen?', and surrendered duck.com in 2018, after duckduckgo was forced to legally f with google's deepstate pockets. it's simply google neoliberal f'ing around. easypeasy how are you confused by this sort of garbage? en.wikipedia.org
