If my memory serves correctly, you are accurate! I don't believe that I have seen the stock fall below the 'split' price! Of course, if I count on that, it is like washing your car on a 'sunny' day, next day 'rain'! ;-)

re split price being support

It got to 160 today!!!! Didnt stay there, but then we still have several days before the official split. I'm still hoping for day after split 80 for a new support level. Now I know that "past performance is no guarantee" and all that stuff. I also know that the investing public really loves some stocks-coke is one of them . I sold it when it was "overvalued" only to watch it get more "overvalued" (Quotes because value means what someone will pay so how can it really be overvalued?????) And the investing public loves Microsoft.
Hey it was just voted number two in "admired companies" by the big companies. Ko used to be number one is now number three (GE was voted number one this year.)

Freeus, definitely a Microsoft cheerleader now that I have some!

The chart says your right, in ten years MSFT has never fallen below its split price... This does not prove anything. It does however make me feel better about my (pre-split) 500 shares

It may have fallen Briefly after the Split date but not for long:
see the MAX chart @ Yahoo, appears to be split adjusted

quote.yahoo.com

and look at the SPlit HIstory

microsoft.com

on average this stock splits roughly every two years since inception.

I've been in since 6/94 and I'm Amazed !
