This should work just fine with pigeons too! This kid has a much more complicated process than the no tools other than a pocketknife one I was taught. I would twist the wings around until they snapped off, same with the head, then just grab the skin at the neck and turn them inside out. Then cut away the parts you don't want. After cooking, you had to chew carefully, spitting out the lead birdshot as you ate! Such fun! Why I never became a hunter.
