It just amazes me that so many "smart people" on Wall Street can be this blind. The best story today was the boys from NB Montgomery upgrading AOL from a hold to a buy. Whats with that??

AOL probably does not think the results of 2Q is to crow about. Therefore it needs to announce the 2:1 split to compensate the mediocre performance. The following is from Briefing.Com ... AOL posted a gain of $0.17, one penny above estimates... While not all that bullish given recent gains, look for stock to get a boost from announcement of a 2-for-1 stock split... AOL ended a volatile day Tuesday, down 1 7/16. I happen to believe that tomorrow AOL will be down. Afterall cool heads will prevail.
