>>Doesn't he owe at least that much to his many loyal listeners in northern California.<<

unfortunately, this is business. if kgo doesn't want to pony up the fees then the brinkster won't give away his product for free.

for good or bad, that is the way it is...

While I have no clue about this we know that there was an apparently tough negotiation leading to the late anouncement Bob would return this year. Now what if his compensation and/or his desire to return in the future was linked to the sucess of the show in terms of number of stations and overall ratings. Under this scenario a loss of a very major station in an area where Bob has even done his Leukemia Society events in the past could effect not only the bay area but the longevity of Moneytalk as a show in the future. That's why it is important as is said in medicine make sure you do no harm.

Wow. You really missed the point. Lets keep this very, very simple. If people complain loud enough, KGO mgmt will decide they don't need the hastle from MoneyTalk program. There is nothing you, I, or Bob Sr. can do to change this. Lets all wise up and accept it. We don't have to like it, we do have to accept it. If people stubbornly refuse to accept it, they can continue to complain and watch KGO drop the program in favor of profitable local programming. If you don't believe what is being said by Lane & others, go ahead and keep complaining. The show will be off the air on KGO shortly thereafter and Brinker will be registering for the next Sr. Tour event scratching his head about why his most devoted fans chose to launch an attack on one of the strongest allies of the starship.
