Nice job by the semi-bears tonight in keeping their cool and their senses of humor. You're good people.

I've got some thoughts about Novell but don't feel quite ready to post them--it's all this damn getting up on five hours sleep for the trading (west coast, you see) that is wiping me out. Getting up early did allow me to sell NOVL again at 8 1/2. To me we had a perfect buy point two days ago at 7 17/32. I don't use charts but do watch a lot of tape--maybe I just play this one based on psychology vis a vis whole numbers and halves. I don't quite understand the comment about manipulated spikes--maybe it was manipulated to get us up to 8 9/16 ask, but there is obviously serious interest there to get the volume we had traded in the 8 3/8 to 8 7/16 range. I think the street is starting to pay attention and those that like to be early are starting to take positions.

Don, you're making me hungry.

Hopefully I can post something better tomorrow,
Marc

Hi EKS: *OTOT*.
Good to hear from you. I notice that BP Ritchie's address no longer
works. Wonder what happened with him? Anyway, yes, that's how I looked
at CS (from the longer term). Just happened to be able to make a quick
$ on an unexpected spike. But, I do see more than Cisco in this area
as opposed to the OS/NOS stuff we have here. And as far as
reallocation of funds, yep, you're right. Had to do it. Will I get
back in? Well, perhaps, but I'll be watching "so much more closely"
this time round'. SUNW (even though it's struggling a bit now is a
good play too IMO).
2/24 should be interesting for NOVL IMO, not just the numbers but
the "forward information". Regards, ...Joe
