Jump to first matched term AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- NetSpeed, Inc. and nCUBE today announced the interoperability between NetSpeed's family of ADSL broadband access networking equipment and nCUBE's interactive digital video server platform. Through a series of tests, the two companies proved conclusively that the nCUBE video server platform is compatible with NetSpeed's complete, end-to-end, broadband remote access equipment family. The tests conducted by NetSpeed and nCUBE mirrored the environment of a telco deployment. Test equipment included nCUBE's MediaCUBE(TM) 30 interactive digital video server and NetSpeed's central office LoopRunner(TM) Advanced Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (ADSLAM(TM)), FireRunner(TM) broadband remote access server, SpeedRunner(TM) 202 customer premise ATM ADSL router, and PCIRunner(TM) ADSL PCI modem adapter. The test application consisted of requesting and displaying video through a standard Web browser executing on a PC. Customer access to the MediaCUBE video server was achieved through both the external SpeedRunner router and internal PCIRunner modem adapter. Central office access equipment consisted of the LoopRunner multiplexer, with the FireRunner remote access server at the host site. The MediaCUBE video server received requests and streamed video through the FireRunner server via 100BaseTx connections. "The ADSL access testing we conducted with NetSpeed's leading-edge ADSL equipment exceeded our high expectations. Interoperability between our companies' product lines proved transparent and effortless.
