I can not imagine an Investor Relations department taking an active hand in moderating a public discussion forum. The liability resulting from such activity would be unacceptable from a legal liability perspective. If any company in which I owned stock tried it, my suggestion would be that they be taken out back and put out of their misery while I liquidate my position. An occasional unexpected intervention is one thing. An expectation or mandate of intervention is something else entirely.
