I am happy ... generally speaking, but I am also acutely aware that our government has run amok and destroyed opportunities that millions would otherwise have to live a lot better than they do now. Our government has also encouraged and exalted wicked behavior. It's likely I won't live long enough to see such things corrected, but that is not my duty either. I do know it affects economic prospects though. I can't make-believe and pretend that it does not. That said -- none of these things which I speak of -- happen outside of the Lord's purview. Neither is He surprised by any of them -- as He alone knows the end from the beginning. I remain convinced of this: Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. That doesn't mean all things are good -- it means that God can and does use what happens to bring about the best for His children. So I may express frustration some times at what I see, but I know the end of the story and Who wins. It is enough for me.
