I would affirm that. I have a friend from High School who just retired as a respiratory therapist. He was tired of seeing people slowly suffocating from Covid. My neighbor just quit as a clinical nurse... same thing. Tired of looking into frightened people's eyes, knowing they were going to die.

And by the way... I ALWAY profusely thank all of the people who serve me at Kaiser, nurses, doctors. I make sure they know I admire and appreciate them. I generally make them laugh too: I tell the nurses "This is the nicest waiting room I've ever been in." And after I thank them I point out "Its probably a good idea if your health care providers like you." He he.
