Steve, I have never shorted ELNK because I know and respect the CEO. The lesson here is to never bet against good management.

ELNK/CUBE: I actually was long ELNK from 12 and got out far too soon (drawback of value investing:). The internet stocks are becoming increasingly dangerous shorts because of the difficulty in determining what these companies are worth. Therefore, they can be worth lots more than we think, since momentum and a bull market can carry them without regard to fundamentals. I was also long CUBE but now the best long argument is the short interest. Though they have excellent products, the DVD market has been slow to develop. This has allowed more companies to compete. The best DVD stock (by no means a pure play) is LSI IMHO.
