Patrick,

<<While that particular announcement has a great deal of potential attached to it because of Litton's status and the publicity that this type of project will generate once it becomes a reality, I doubt that Q1 or Q2 revenue would be affected.>>

I disagree, based on the Kinnard report. Here are a few quotes:

"We are raising our 1Q98 and 2Q98 estimates but lowering our 4Q97 estimates based on Ancor's announcement of a design win for a military application."

"The changes largely reflect a shift in expected shipment timing."

"Largely based on this deferal, we are raising our 1Q98 revenue estimate to $3.2 million from $2.7 million and our 2Q98 estimate to $3.5 million from $3.3 million."

Admittedly, Kinnard could be wrong, but it appears as if the analyst received some guidance regarding the Litton deal, and its impact on Q1 and Q2.

Patrick,

One point that I forgot to mention is that it is possible that storage revenue will be pushed out. The ONLY basis I have for that statement was Brenda Christensen's comment a while back about OEMs taking longer than they (Brocade) expected. I don't expect that to happen, given the number of Fibre Channel product announcements throughout the industry, but it is a possibility that we should consider. We probably won't know more until the conference call.
